Wierd Clicking

Whenever I click on a button in the game I hear an anoying click like a snap. It wasn't there when I first installed it but its there now. I can hear it overtop of the normal sound effect. Anybody else have this problem or a solution that doesn't involve turning the sound off?

Heres my dxdiag file if it helps. sofar, I like civ 3 more then civ5.....

To reiterate my issue, there is a clicking sound over top the normal UI sound. It wasn't there when I first installed civ5.

I've tried reinstalling civ5,
Reinstalling my gfx and sound cards.
tried dx9 civ
reinstalled dx from disc

Quite odd. Maybe try plugging your mouse into a different USB port? Maybe you're speakers & mouse are running off the same hub and you're getting interference? Is it just in Civ V or is it in other games now too?

Nope just civ5

My mouse isn't usb unfortunately.

Would useing x64 win 7 be better for civ? i only have 3 gigs ram
