Will we see CIV on PSP or DS?

Not that I've heard of, but I wouldn't mind a version. The big problem would be memory (assuming you don't even try to go with the 3D graphics). The DS has only 8 MB of RAM and the PSP has (IIRC) 32 MB.

Dude that would be awesome... they already have the N-thingy (whatever it's called) and the mobile phone version. I'd love to see it on a portable system.

I know that Championship Manager is out for the PSP and Football Manager 2006 also. And I think these games requieres alot more memory than Civ does?
If the can get so much data in to it, it might also be possible with civ

they have an Age of Empires for the DS, and it didn't turn out that bad.

Sometimes Civ IV gets near the 2 GB VM mark for me (although a bunch of that is graphics).

I would love to see something like CIV4 appear on the consoles. I remember CIV1 on the SNES so why not CIV4 on the XBox and PS2? I bet they would be surprised at how many people would actually buy it. Look at the little game Advance Wars, one of the only and best strategy games on GBA. It has been a huge seller, so if that has succeeded on the GBA, I would think CIV4 would succeed on the console systems. Ask my why I don't own a console and why I am not getting one, its because mostly all of the games are the same thing. Either you have a FPS, Racing, or Sports, every now and then you may get lucky and see a good game, but I am still waiting. At very least, the Xbox360 should be able to run a version of CIV4. This is exactly why consoles are geared more towards kids in the range of 8-14. If we start to see some good strategy games that have meaning, we may begin to see an older PC type crowd get into consoles more often. Just my thoughts.

If a civilization on a console is as playable as it is on a pc (I don't mind some tweaks here and there), that would basically stop the need for a pc, given the fact that most games are ported to console now anyway!

I'll get Civ DS any time!
