Win98 Desktop

Looking to clear my desktop as much as possible. I only have 3 icons on it (My Computer, Network, Recycle). If I can't remove those, anyone know how I can edit the icon pics without changing the 'theme' or anything like that?

Isn't there some kind of Tweak UI that you can use for win 98? IIRC it might be possible to get rid of them as well, but maybe I'm mixing up versions...

You can hide them in the lower right corner of the screen

You can change these icons using tab 'Effects' in 'Screen Properties' window (available by right-clicking on desktop and choosing 'Properties' or in Control Panel).
I'm using polish version of Win'98 so I'm not sure about these names of menus.

To change the icon there you need a file with one. IrfanView can save any picture as '.ico'.

X Setup is pretty good.

I was thinking myself to navigate to that folder, and make the icons you don't want hidden. This would keep them there, true, but you wouldn't normally see them.
