i really hope they change the wonder concept. i mean, eight civilizations competing on who will build leonardo's workshop first... and the seven civs that loose have waisted tens of turns of production. the wonder "thing" is ok when you stick to the seven wonders of the world and perhaps other monuments as the statue of liberty or the eiffel tower but it's absurd building leonardo's workshop or bach's cathredal. have you ever heard of the leonardo workshop or the bach cathredal? no, neither have i, but what i have heard of is leonardo who lived in both italy and france and that he was a great inventor. i have also heard of the great german composer bach, but he is the one who is famous, not the building where he worked! the fact that you have to build these people and their really famous working places often leave most wonders to the cities with the highest production or to the industrial civs. i like the effects of all the wonders because the add spice to the game but i think these bonuses should be distributed in a different way. this "wonder fanatism" has gone way too far.
another concept i'd like to see a change in is the governments. they are so few and so restricted. and it's stupid that you need a revolution every time you go to another type of government. if you look at the history of europe only a few monarchies were overthrown with revolutions when the country changed to more democratic governments. i think you should be able to develop into new ways of ruling, by time.
there is no real government called democracy. england, spain, sweden and many other countries in europe are monarchies still today. they all have parlaments and ministers ruling but the head of state is a king/queen. with other words democratic monarchies. usa is a republic now and was a republic in the late 1700's as well, only they are more democratic today. get rid of the government called democracy and make ways, instead, to develop your own type of republic or monarchy. i think i have a solution to the stupid revolution system: changing from very democratic to very totalitarean and the opposite should mostly require a revolution. but i think you should have the option of developing into a different kind of government peacefully, one reform at a time so to say. and that would take more time.
