Hey hey

Relatively new to MP.. Had a few dozen games with a couple of buds on LAN. So, I was wondering:

Do you experienced MPers have any wonders you absolutely must have? Other than Big Ben and possibly the Statue of Liberty? - I mean, there are some very militaristic wonders lying around, i.g. the Great Wall, Himeji Castle, the Kremlin and such - Are these worthwhile in MP? Are they enough of an annoyance to other humans that they will think twice before attacking a player who stacked up on these things?

Cheers

Himeji is very valuable. You can rush it with a GE from a workshop. The Porcelaine Tower can be valuable to get a tech advantage. Can also be rushed in the same way.

Great Library useful to bulb early steel for longs rush turn 50-70 or bulb civil if peaceful build and have rivers.

Oracle to grab policy

Great wall, himeji and kremlin with defensive buildings suits a defensive build and also denys others for a timely offense, get all 3 and you will be very hard to beat, it will make players think twice, they would need artillary probably and a massive unit advantage to take you. I know a player who loves to stay 1 city and get all 3, settling a city after all National Wonders are built. Usually ends up that 1 other empire gets bigger and kills the rest and out produces the 2 city and can overwhelm them in the late ind/ modern era.

Hagia if you are running uni specialists spam GSci

If you are isolated and/or have marble/ trad and have decent hammers then all can worth getting

If it's early war likely then prob spend hammers on units
