If i build a Wonder, like, the "Sun Tzu's Art of War", will it make my previously existing barracks free, or i'll have to keep paying for them?

Will the pyramids do that for the granaries, or the Hoover Dam for the Hydro Plants, etc...?

If that's not the case (i mean, if the improvements still costs you golds per turn), is it possible to sell them and keep the benefits? I once considered selling my barracks after i took the chinese Sun Tsu's, but as i wasen't sure...

Anyone knows that for sure?

Regards :) .

I think that if you already have a granary in a city and then build the Pyramids the granary will lose its maintainance cost from then on. Before building such a wonder you can sell the improvements (in this case granary) and then when the wonder is built the improvement will appear again in that city.

cut the "I think" - you`re dead right.

But do be carful, some wonders only work for the continent!

I could have sworn the I was not able to sell the improvements
Yup. The confusing part is finding which ones actually have the old improvement to sell because they all look like they have it once the wonder is finished. It is definitely easier to do it the turn before the wonder is produced.

The only reason to keep the improvement is that should you lose the wonder to a marauding civ, the city will still have its original granary/barracks/hydro plant.
