Won't let me install D3DX9_26.DLL ... any ideas?

Ok, I had the game working, but it seemed buggy from all the stuff I had to do to get it there, so I figured I'd reinstall; followed the procedure at civiv.com to the letter, and as I got to the dx9.0c installer, it skips over the files as though it has already installed all required components. I know the installer runs nearly instantly even when working, but I checked my dxdiag, and still don't have D3DX9_26.DLL. I have tried running the DXsetup from the disc, and downloading and running a D3DX9_26.DLL installer, to no avail. Anybody where I can find it so I can stick it in manually, or better yet know of a way to install it properly?

SAME PROBLEM HERE! But when i try to install the directx from cd, it says: did not copy a required file, and install failed... Ofcourse i cant start the game, coz it misses the file (d3dx_29.dll) what the directx missed to.... Someone help us

OK, you can thanks Colonel Kraken because he had the answer on another post.

And download the installer (d3dx dll 26). Unzip then install and should work (worked for me).
