Hello, i'm experiencing great troubles dealing with those workers: i saw in the game that u need to build a lot of them, but when u have a certain ammount of workers, it becomes long and boring to manipulate them mnually. so i red a bit the forum and saw that the cmd Shift-A was used, as i understood, to Automate them without destroy improvement. so i brought 'em near city in need of irrigations road and mines, and instead of just working, they were wandering out for a town, and were walking more than working ;) and whenever they were working, they did only Irrigations or only mines near the town, resulting in lacks of production or food :/ is there a better way to manipulate them? or must i keep working by hand ?

Ctrl-shift-I improves the nearest city without changing improvements. They'll keep working on it until all the radius is worked though, so you may wish to keep an eye out.

You can also use workers to make some of the first improvements you want, then automate the rest for the rest of the city, because you may find it doesn't matter as much after the first few.

Stick to manual control until you have water/irrigation near every city, or order them to "irrigate to next city". Then, shift-A works good. But if you don`t have access to water close to the city they mine it all over....

I try to go manual as long as I can stand it.

Then, I keep a few on maual for raod construction to outlying citiy and os on, later for rapid rail connections.

Endgame, I automate all until they start to pile up in the cities, then I activate them then Shift-C them for pollution control....
