Ok, I was looking to find some info on what the triggers are on reducing warming. The test I was using was a game posted by GeneralZed.
I took it and tripped off a nuke fest. About 250+ ICBM's and 40 Tac nukes by me as China and 60+ ICBM's and 50 tacs by Doc X of Persia. So ~400 nukes.
After the blitz, I cut off all of his ability to make them and stop using them for the last 60-70 turns. The sun was black/orange when I stopped. I cleared all tiles of pollution, razed all of Xerks metro on what was his large contient.
I sold off all factories, Offhore, Manuf Plants, any plants of any type, airports, sams and mad both reducers in all metros and any city with a hospital. Oh and commerce Docks. I also sold off walls, barracks and libs for the heck of it as they were of no value and just cluttered up the list.
In short no city had more than 1 pollution icon and only a handfull had that. The sun icon was going down to where it was like an light orange eclipse. That is yellow shows around the circumference.
The thing is that it still triggers from 7 to 18 global warmings each turn. I got tired of testing it after the last 20 turns, as I would go around planting forest in tundra tiles that got zapped.
I was trying to see what, if anything could be done to get rid of the warming and if so what is the time frame. Anyone have any thoughts, other than I am crazy.
