World Builder Maps Not Showing up In Map Selection

After creating a map in world builder, building it with modbuddy, putting the mod and map files in the mod, map and dlc map folders (both in program files and documents), restarting civ, rebuilding it with modbuddy, my map is still not appearing in-game in the advanced setup, even after activating it.

Instead, something odd i happening in that several identical my old map files are appearing (ones that I deleted long ago no less), and not even under their original title (instead, they keep being titled "medieval European map"). I also tried deleting the game cache and verifying it, but nothing is working.

I've spent quite a bit of time trying to figure this out, but nothing seems to work. There might be one or two older versions of my map still in the files along with the new ones, so perhaps that is causing some sort of contradiction. Does anybody know what might be happening? Maybe my map is their, but is under a different name? Is there anyway I can check any of this in the files? Thank you for any replies, I'm a little desperate.

Unless you need to mod civs etc, don't bother adding the map file to a mod, just copy the .civ5map file directly into the C:\Users\{username}\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps sub-directory

Yes, I've tried that, but still not showing up in any of the menus. I'm starting to think maybe it was titled incorrectly, so I'm going to make a new save of it with a different name, put that into the maps folder and then see if it shows up. Thanks anyway for the reply though. I always appreciate the help, especially with me being new to modding

Okay, never mind, I found out what was happening. It turns out the world builder was automatically renaming it to that, so I manually renamed it and now it's showing up. Thanks anyway though.
