hey guys,

Now to me i think the world editor for Civilization 4 for it really crappy compared to the civ 3 editor for 2 main reasons. One is that it seem to work very very slow. i mean when i put a ocean tile and click on the map it can take anywhere between 4-10 sec for it to appear charged on the map, is this happening to anyone else? i realy don't think it is my computer becuase i exceed a the required my comp specs:

2.8 GHZ
Windows XP Pro
1 GB RAM
256 MB Gforce FX 5800 Video Card.

i don't see why the map editor is so slow with my computer. also i think the interface it not very user freind i am realy dissappointed that the editor is not a seperate appilacation. any help with the first thing would be great i mean i eve tried to turn the graphics all the way down and still as slow.

well i have it working a little bit faster but still about a second lag but much better now.

nevermind that. the only reason it was working alittle better is becuase is was a standard size but when i went to do a huge map agnd get like 3-6 sec lag placing terrain. any suggestion for making it work faster, i have tried using using lowest settings plus i have the most upto date driver for my video card

ok these are something i just can't seem to find a way of doing:

1. Clear the map on 1 type ( eg water ) at the same land level
i try to use the change all plots then goto water but what happens it that everything it water but you can see the land traced out but it is at a different lever, it looks lower than where the ocean what already from looking at the waves. is there no more clear land to 1 type?

2. half the time when i am on a map i can't scroll al the way downand the mini map has to black bars on the side. i can see everything when i zoom all the way out but when i zoom in i lose like the top 1/4 and bottom 1/4 becuase i can scroll all the way down when zoomed in

3. like when i put a ocean down where the land it does do ocean but it it deep thean the ocean that is alread there.

is anyone having any of these problems?
