Hello all,

Is there any way to add gold (cash, not the resource) using worldbuilder? I am trying to create a scenario for one of my friends, and he'll need quite a bit of money to be successful.

Please help if possible. Thanks in advance!

Dave :)

I go to edit city mode and pick one of my cities at random and it'll have a section for Gold.

There's probably a better way.

I have never found a good way to add "directly" but you can simply place a pile of Great Merchants next to a foreign city and just do a trade mission. You can get a few thousand per and there is not limit to how many you can use and they can always move around in foreign territory.

FYI, you can do them all at once if you just do the trade mission on the stack of units, so you do not have to sit there clicking...

It only adds to your gold cash if you previously selected yourself in the Units screen. If you select the AI in the Units/Buildings/Territory section, you will give them money instead of you.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I'll probably go with the Great Merchant, but will try the other ideas as well. Thanks again!

Dave

You can go into World Builder, save it. Go to Mygames/BTS/Saves/Worldbuilder, transfer it to public maps. Open with notepad, then under team info, change the gold to whatever you want. No limits at all.
