I can run all the modding tools except WorldBuilder - it crashes on startup:
Code:
  Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
  Problem Signature 01: worldbuilder.exe
  Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.0
  Problem Signature 03: 4c9a5903
  Problem Signature 04: mscorlib
  Problem Signature 05: 2.0.0.0
  Problem Signature 06: 4bf4c743
  Problem Signature 07: f96
  Problem Signature 08: 80
  Problem Signature 09: System.IO.FileNotFoundException
  OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
  Locale ID: 4105
It seems it cannot find a certain file, but won't tell me which one. I tried re-installing the SDK, and re-installing .NET 3.5 sp1 as well. I'm running Vista 64-bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think they released a new Civ5 patch tonight, I had this problem also and then when I clicked to start up Civ5 an install process was started. After that, I could use WB.

Thanks Cephalo! Unfortunately it didn't work... I didn't see an install process and I'm patched to 1.0.20, but Worldbuilder still crashes. :(

p.s. I love your PerfectWorld script for both Civ4 and Dwarf Fortress, keep up the good work.

I too have world builder crashes and have yet to be able to use it for more than a minute or two. Dale (the maps modder) suggested that I download the DirectX 9 runtime file. I did so and the worldbuilder lasted 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds. Dale said that 2K is working on crash fixes because they think that's part of the worldbuilder issue (the SDK loads Civ V in the background) so perhaps the next update will improve things.

Turns out I had to reinstall the OS (actually I upgraded to Windows 7) to make it work. But finally I can make maps! :)

wow thats a very expensive fix. might of just been a installed mod since worldbuilder reads and will load activated mods and not necessarily a issue with your OS, but if it worked for you good.
