Would CIV IV run smoothly on my computer?

Would CIV IV run smoothly on my computer? Would it freeze up, go slowly or in ANY way not function correctly? I don't have a lot of money and if I spend 50 dollars on this game I want it to work VERY WELL. Do I have enough RAM? Hard drive? Does CIV IV for mac run on Snow Leopard? Here are my computer specs...Tell me what you think:

Brand: Macbook
Bought: This August
Other programs: Practically none
RAM: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 250 GB
CPU Speed: 2.4 Ghz
Operating System: Snow Leopard
Everything else: Whatever comes on Macbooks

Your computer will play Civ IV very well. For the Mac, I strongly recommend 2GB RAM and the current Nvidia 9400M video chipset. Your model of MacBook has both. So does mine, and it plays the Mac vanilla version 1.74 flawlessly and at full speed at the native resolution (1280x800). My MacBook, and two of my friends' MacBooks are all running Snow Leopard and Civ IV with no issues.

It is frustrating that the Mac version is so expensive compared to the PC version, especially when the Mac version appears to be a direct port with very little effort to make it Mac-specific (for example, the in-game autoupdate still points to the PC update file).
