Quick Question: In the "Cheat" menu in Civ2 while playing a scenario, under "Scenario Parameters", "Edit Special Rules", there is an option to enable/disable the Special WWII-only AI. What does this do? Will it <hopefully> make the AI smarter and more difficult to defeat? Maybe make the AI attack with larger armies like in the real WWII?

Good question!!!

I had been wondering also but never thought of asking.

It means the A.I will attack the same point repeatedly even if it gets killed.

Thus by using shear numbers they will try to overpower a certain point.

you mean a certain point of the map?

Take a city f.i.?

My understanding is that this will make the AI fight an attrition style of war. willing to loose as many units as needed so long as you run out first. Although there are ways to get the normal AI to do this as well.

Geez, sounds exactly like the regular AI..."No, your army of 50 horsemen will never defeat my single veteran Rifleman. Sorry"

In the game manual, there are dire warnings saying never to use that option...Which makes me wonder why they left it in the menu, it would be simple enough to remove. I suppose they left it in for scenario designers who know what they're doing, but I've never touched it.
