Id like create a WWII warlods mod begginning in 1939. Im willing to create the map, place cities, and edit xml. Help from experienced xml modders would be greatly appreciated as i am a novice at editing. I would like experienced modders to help with changing civ's attitudes as i am not sure what all the xml controls and how to effectively mod them as result. I will be able to mod most of the civs through xml though. Id also like pyhton mod help, such as being able to have the nazi invasions match similar to history,as well as american and soviet involvement, including soviet expansion into eatern europe(like eastern poland w/o mutual struggle bonus affecting nazi/soviet attitudes)
i am not fully aware of all of python(or sdk's)easibility and modibility(im would not like to demand too much from python modders, only what their willing to contribute). Id like to use a map similar to that of TCW;SF&B's. Maybe with alittle more of the middle east though to add islamic involvement to the nazi movement as history was(their were muslim fighters defending when the allies closed in on the last nazi fighters). Ill need help with units and leader heads,i would like to added more wwii unit's,like that of the magnificent(in my opinion)maxriga mod,but not with building requiments(e.g. lockheed martin, little too much for my tastes but to each his own).
What i need Right now is help with the units, and leader heads(correct leaders who governed from 1937-1949, pictures will do, but animated would be optimal)and help with the map. What do you guys think are the most stragically nessecary cities of WWII. Major powers will recieve cities, while certain civ's will just a city in the name of the country in the name of space, this will apply mainly to Eastern European civs, like the baltic states. This should save on turn times as the game progresses but still provide an amount of historical accuracy to the scenario.
If enough interest is involed with this project, when finished id like to use it as a base for a cold war scenario, but thats to far off to say anything. Right now id like to attempt a creation of a fun 1939 WWII scenario. I am going to try and see if Ryhe will share with me how to gravitate civs to certain areas(e.g. Japan to china and the us) and if that can apply to war situations as opposed to settling movements. this could help make the game less predictable and still somewhat accurate. Help is greatly appreciated. i will begin work on the map,and post screen shots to help makethe most strategic game possible.
