xbox 360 comments

hope this in the right forum.

help an old guy out here

i have an xbox for my son mostly. now days you need to upgrade to a 360 to buy newer games. so

1-will the older xbox games we already have work on the 360 unit? i was thinking of perhaps trading in the system at the local game store and going with a 360...

2-also i notice there is an arcade xbox 360 and a xbox pro what is the difference.

This will be happening about every five years unfortunately, so get used to it.

Some will and more are added with new updates.

There are 3 different systems:
Arcade-no hard drive, some arcade games, cheapest
Premium-20 gig hard drive, some get some pack in games, mid range price
Elite-120 gig hard drive, some pack in games, most expensive

I would recommend the premium just for the hard drive, it well worth the extra money.

Here's another recommendation for the premium.
Also, you can buy some original xbox games online and download them to your 360. There's only 7 games out now but there should be more soon.

I was really suggest getting one with the Hard Disc. It's just easier and it means your son can do the most with his comp, download games, add-ons and even save games. Sure you can do that with the memory cards you can buy but there's less space on them and that's an extra cost where as with just a little bit more you can go out and get a Premium, especially considering it's near Christmas and all the major stores are doing some form of deal on them.

Do not buy one without a hard drive. It will keep you from a majority of the features.

You need the hard drive to play the old Xbox games.
