To the mods: I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post this in.

So I just recently started messing around with the XML files in Civ 5 and am having a great time figuring out how to change the various aspects of the game.

I was wondering if anyone has any projects they are working on that needed some more XML manpower.

I've uploaded the Fantasy Elves Civilization(v2) mod recently to the in-game mod database if you would like to see what I have done so far. Pretty basic changes, but I am fairly good at figuring out/reverse engineering if I come across a desired function that I am not familiar with. I also ham working on a version that included three to four new technologies and a retooling of the worker system for the elves (function of farms are built on forests instead, functions of mines, quarries, and plantation are all wrapped up into one improvement, etc.) It would be great to work on a team that has the other elements such as artwork and Lua, so I can help make a complete modification.

It's most definitely the wrong forum. Completed mods go in these subforums; questions, requests, etc. go in the main C&C forum. (Tutorials go in the Reference forum, and the SDK/Lua subforum's a special case.) I'll report your post so that a mod moves it.

Big mods with a lot of XML work are usually posted in Modpacks subforum. Many of them are active, with new versions regularly added. I would suggest that you take a look at mods in Modpacks subforum, some authors might be asking for help there. Also, check out Mod components. The name is a bit misleading as it also has stand-alone mods, just not as big as in Modpacks.
 
I know Community Call to Power Project is always looking for extra sets of hands
