I just bought Civilization III a few days ago. It is not one of the special versions. I played it for three days straight with no problem. I haven't messed with any settings or anything. I double-clicked the icon on Desktop to start the game today and my monitor went black flashing a message saying something about a "signal". I still was able to hear the game's audio and sometimes the opening movie would appear on the screen for a few seconds but it would then go black again. I did read the troubleshooting FAQ before posting it and was going to add the "Refresh=60" to the .ini file but I do not have the .ini file anywhere on my computer. If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it! I have been trying to fix this for hours now. By the way I am running Win XP.
