Zoom in and out of map

Does anyone know what key zooms in and out of map? whatever i did in civ 4 & 5 doesnt seem to work or i've forgotten

Cant figure it out for the world of me :/

I know the middle mouse wheel works but I wish I could zoom out further.

Thanks, but doesnt work for me cos im not using a desktop so i dont have a mouse wheel

I'm not either but I have a wireless mouse for my laptop.
I have read others say the plus& minus keys work.
