ZWK - Relived!

OK:

- Bombed some more panzers in Paris.

- Bombed the sh!t out of Italy in Tobruk with 2 capital ships, one of which is the new HMS Chamberlain which was actually former a carrier that was retrofitted. Wellingtons also kicked Italy's ass there, too :D

Save below.

Thanks. ;)

Today the Italian Empire achieved two decisive victories.

At first we started our campaign to retake rightful Italian land by conquering Scutari. Soon Italy will shine again in the glory of former days.

Secondly we assisted our eternal allies in their crusade against French Imperialism by capturing Toulon.

It's a great time for Italy.

Kovno captured.

Obviously not in africa.. hehe. No problem though, I think the scenario was designed so the Allies kick Italy bad in africa early on. ;) IIRC, you start with 2 tanks down there. I blew one up...

 /me wonders where other one could be.

Not necessarily; the key to your victory has been your ships. However the scenario is designed so that the Axis' central Med. sub will arrive at Tobruk the same time as your ships. Not to mention that one is poised to take them out as they exit the Suez Canal, but apparently the Axis player here dropped the ball on both of those opportunities. If he knows how to use the subs and he makes good use of his bombers (and the Italian player builds some quality units after getting Axis techs), it should be a stalemate at best. I can only rack this up to incompetence, no offense. ;)

Ah, I was careful to keep those babys in port for a turn so my fighters could provide cover when they set sail. I learned my lesson watching the old games go on ;)

Aha, that would explain it. Although I don't think he even made an effort; if he did then he would have become visible to you and you would have destroyed it.

HMS Courageous sunk in the Atlantic. An allied tank division destroyed in France.

Tirana captured.

Well yes he wipes me out good in africa but I can't do anything against him. He bombs me away with planes and ships and all I have in this area are tanks and militas. It was obvious from the beginning I would not have a chance.

Trust me, people have beaten the Allies as the Minor Axis before in these games many times. I don't know what went wrong (besides the fact that Ohwell shouldn't even have any ships unless the Axis player dropped the ball with his u-boats), but you should be even with him by now if not winning. For one, why aren't you building an airforce of your own? He gave you the techs, didn't he?

Hmm do you know the production capabilities of my cities? Of course I'm planning on building an airforce but with these cities it isn't too easy. But I don't complain: on the balkan it looks good at the moment and I'll do the best as I can to reverse the situation.

Yes, I've conquered 70% of Europe as the Minor Axis against a deity AI, and I've also played them once in a short-lived PBEM. Your production isn't too bad considering how bad it is for everybody in this particular scenario. An He-111 can be built relatively quick, and the Stuka and fighters very quickly. Furthermore you could sell off your scientific improvements to rush some bombers at the very outset, so that you can face him when he first engages you.

This is all moot now however, if four of his ships have survived this long, there's just no hope for you down there. There was, but not anymore; every turn counts in this game.

sorry folks

- Riga captured
