My degree contained thorough genetics, immunology, microbiology and biochemistry.
The lower second is what held me back though, cos I boozed and partied too much and honestly didn't care at all about getting A grades in anything. Maybe due to the narcissist upbringing I had with being forced into studying STEM stuff only when all I ever wanted was to be a pop star*.
But today its far worse, like 9/10 students in the UK get straight A's in everything and we're over saturated with skilled graduates with no jobs for them.
And no one wants to work for the NHS. I actually wanted to start voluntary work there out of sheer desperation, but they needed 2x2 year references and my degree is over 10 years old and less worth than applying for a job with a dead spider stapled to the application, and filling the entire form with nothing but 'SPIDER MAN'.
* I'd have stood a vastly higher chance of becoming a pop star than getting anywhere with stem if my savant like musical abilities had been properly honed to perfection instead, or if Beyonces dad had been my dad instead.
