Decided to tack on a review as well! :D

Scenario review

Age of Discovery 1492-1792

Plus points:

-Great map

-Perfect setting for a Civ game

-Lots of useful resources to be found in the New World, makes expansion worthwhile

-AI nations colonise well (Dale used a little trick for this ;))

-Watching different religons spread through the colonies is fun

Minus points:

-Tech tree that stretches almost to the 20th Century just doesn't feel right

-Too few wars in Europe, probably due to all the Europeans starting with the same religon (Catholic)

-Seems like the colonies grow too big too fast

Overall:

A fantastic scenario, well worth the download and the 21 hours it took to finish the game!

Feedback on the AAR is most welcome.

Also, I will post saved-games if anyone's interested.

:)

Why does the game end in 1792?

And by the way, what was that light blue civilization in North Africa at the end of the game. Mali?

Darth Pugwash, you should play the Pirates! mod next.:D

Vive la revolution and Vive l'Empereur!

In 1792 the French revolution begins and Bonaparte begins his climb to power. And that is a scenario for another day. ;)

The nation in Africa is, I believe, the remnants of Portugal's empire.

A number of the pictures didn't work, especially notable was the one of the end map.

Otherwise, sweet AAR.

Holy bump batman! Thanks RMc. I'll get around to another AAR at some time. Yeah, a few pics not showing up, time makes fools of us all I guess.
