Well here it is folks: the first of three Nominations threads for the Decade Awards, which will celebrate the accomplishments of all of the talented creators and contributors to the Civilization Fanatics Civ 3 Creation and Customization Forum, which celebrates its ten year anniversary this October.
After some discussion, we've settled on 24 different categories for these awards. A list of all of the categories we'll be voting on, and our plan for how those votes will be organized can be found >here<. Beginning with this Nomination thread, these contests will continue into the fall with the final polls for the Best Graphic and Best Unit of the decade closing Halloween Eve.
But we have much to do to get there: we'll begin with nominations for the following categories -
Terraforming Award: Best Terrain Set
Best Graphics: LM or Overlay Terrain
Best City Graphic
Best Splash Graphics
Best Map
Best Interface Graphic(s)
Best Leaderhead
Scholar's Award: Best Tutorial
Best Utility
Each Forum member may make One nomination in each category listed.
One post per member, please.
Nominations for these categories will close on the 30th of this month and polls for the top nominations in each category will be posted on the 5th day of August.
Please limit posts in this thread to nominations. Discussion about these nominations should be posted >here<. Contest organizers reserve the right to resolve disputes by arbitrary decree.
