Civ Revolution 2

I'm not sure if this is old news, but CivRev2 has been cancelled

Looks like that guy got sick of everybody looking at his resume and now you can't view it anymore, but when you could, it said he had spent some time in 2008 working on CivRev2 before it was canceled.

It sounds to me like they planned an immediate sequel and then decided against it. Of course that doesn't mean that CivRev2 is in the works, but hearing now about something canceled three years ago doesn't really tell us much.

What I'd like to see in civ rev 2 is a smarter game, where two allies can defend the same city, where archers can't shoot my fighter Rambo style,in addition to all that Bismarck dude hoopeskt2 said , also each square of land should not look the same as others , it should be more unique . And a weather element that changes a unit's strength and morale . Let's say Indian units , not used to cold, are fighting in snowy weather against the Russians , more used to cold. Indians will get a down bonus in combat. Maybe they'll get frostbite and units will get damaged, kinda like Hannibal's elephants . Same with extreme heat. I want more realistic graphics, like an army of 30 instead of 9, and unites composed from5 or 10 soldiers. Most importantly , multiple units can attack/defend at the same time, but to not have too many units fighting at the same time, there can be a square unit count max, because I stack up units and they take turns to fight. And propraganda to reduce ennemi's culture a little bit. Oh yeah almost forgot : suprise attacks and ambushes, flanking, formations for offense/defense . That's about it for now ps I'm new here I just registered:)

Modern infantry should be split in different individual units, like snipers , engineers to take out tanks, and the regular foot soldiers.or maybe these should be upgrades. How about builders as a unit, that don't have combat ability and can be captured, just like great people, but builders can make buildings outside cities, like watch towers, forts, and modern bases. It would be great , but a little like age of empires, still awesome though. And the automobile tech gives you also a land transport for infantry. I suggests that holding down "defend" activates an escort option for units in the same block the current unit can keep up with:</=movement points.

Did not know that they were even planning on CIv Rev 2.

1 important thing is to give orders DURING a battle , and to fix a bug that made my units stop fighting until someone dies .

First of all it should be as realistic looking as civ5 seems to be . Second : the engineer upgrade works for all infantry units of all eras and that upgrade allows them to fortify better . Without it , they can only fortify to 25%. Third and best : how about real time (optional) mode ? And micro-macro control? (I know this too extreme but I would love that option so you partly influence the battle)

Now that Nintendo have released the 3DS I believe that this presents a good business opportunity for 2K to release Civ Rev2......please...:D

They should release it for the Wii, first of all.
Disagree. The wii will supposingly rather have it's own version with levelled down graphics . The wii isn't that powerful you know .
I just hope civ5 comes too consoles, not dumbed down, or I'm getting a good PC real soon.

Revolutions the first Civ game I've really enjoyed. I've always loved strategy games and was brought up on games like Age of Empires and Empire Earth. I never used to like the civilization games because they seemed boring but the revolution games I have on Xbox and iPhone and love them.

Although I'd really like to see better AI, I might be the only one but hate how they attack me all the time with more armies than they could possible create in the amount of time they have, then when another civilization stumbles upon space flight they go "attack" them to no prevail. It's annoying and means there's no peace, I'd love other options other than paying or giving them technology because this is pointless if you want a technology win. Maybe an ally system could sort this problem? where the two or more civilizations work together.

Just curious, is their any founded talk about CIVREV2 going into production,or we just commenting on what we would like if it came out?

Thanks!:goodjob:
