I use a fork. It is only proper.

I voted for spoon but I use either, depends on many factors, what is clean, what is there more of, how fast do I want to eat it, ect...

Fork - in part because if you are eating quality Macaroni and Cheese (e.g. the Stouffer's frozen variety) it should be overcooked just enough so that the cheese is slightly crispy.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Who even eats macaroni w/ cheese? Macaroni w/ tuna is much better and edible.

(Spam is also edible...)

All savoury foods must be eaten with a fork, with the exception of soup (spoon) and Chinese (chopsticks). :)

Proper technique for eating Kraft Macaroni & Cheese:
Align 4 noodles with the direction of the tines on the fork.
Insert tines into the 4 noodles and slip them on like 4 socks.
Use your noodle-covered fork to sop up some cheese sauce
Use your teeth to pull the noodles off the tines and into your mouth. Start from the back of the fork and scrape forward.

Sometimes a fork, sometimes a spoon, sometimes both at once. It depends what's handy.

"It depends what's handy."

I once ate my dinner using a credit card as there was no cutlery available at the time :)
