@ Maimonides : thanks. It is always nice to see people appreciate your work, even if it arrives kind of late ^^
What patch? Where is it? I looked at the OPs again, but I don't see any mention of it.
Right...
I probably incorporated it... then the bugs you encounter are strange...
I restarted & didn't build the Huerta Technics because the wonder splash file is missing. No AI ever built it, either, for some reason.
Well in the latest version it plays fine... You got the main files at 3DDownloads + the 1.51 biq ???
-The National Military Order small wonders crashed the game to desktop if I tried to build two or more in the same turn. It didn't say I was missing a file. I got that "the game has experienced a problem & will now exit" message. I fixed this by building one of them per turn. It worked fine if I didn't build more than one in a single turn.
What an idea to build both the same turn... ^^ Honestly never heard of that one before, maybe because it happens rarely. Will take a look.
-I've never seen a resource run out or be discovered as often a sheep in this scenario. Sheep were running out & popping up like crazy-3 or 4 per turn in the last century of the scenario. It's not a problem. I'm just pointing it out because it's so unusual.
It should change but definitely not that often. 3 or 4 per turn is too much. Need to down a bit the values here otherwise it gets impossible to plan your production...
-I lost in 1492. I controlled all of Iberia south of Lisbon, but the Almohads had 9k more VPs than me at the end.
Yes Arab civs are though to win over. Best is to actually eradicate them altogether otherwise their cultural values alone can lead them to victories. On the other hand... the Almohads ? You sure it is not the Almoravids ?? Because normally these move into the Iberian peninsula and crush the Almohads after a certain length of time...
If you focus on the Christians, I am pretty sure the Almoravis will probably become the behemoth of the game and win.
BTW what units/techs did the Christians get in your game in 1492 ?
-I took two Almohad cities without a fight because they had no units in them. I've never seen the AI leave a city totally undefended before.
Neither have I. But the Almohads start with few units and have to face a massive onslaught/invasion from the South (Almoravids) while basically having a government that does not really help their military... Could be the reason... Too few troops and a choice to make.
Portugal razed 3 or 4 cities in southwest Spain, but it didn't screw up the game too much. One of them was a Victory Location.
Well, I tried to limit it as much as possible by creating wonders but unfortunately the AI does not really care about cities above VPs and I could not put wonders in every city... well I could but I wanted to give the AI some room to change the map a tad while keeping most cities in place as landmarks.
An amazing amount of work went into this scenario! The Techs, Units, & Buildings are all great & add to the atmosphere. Thanks for making this.
Thanks a lot
Indeed I tried, after that it depends on the tastes of the people... but I tried to create some special stuff such as the first cities built by civs such as Leon or Provence are given the name of the real city there ^^ Not much but pleasant I think. The time span and the three eras could be a tad too much for some people though and the tech-tree is a bit complicated although I must say if you add the tech-trees by Qummik it is much easier to understand... and beautiful ! BTW there is a PBEM using this scenario going on if you want to take a look (

Question: Isn't Granada on the coast? It's my understanding that Granada was the last great Muslim stronghold to fall in 1492 & that it's on the coast. In this scenario, it's well inland.
Well we are both right ^^
the state of Granada was indeed coastal (it fits the initial set up I gave to the Nasrids). But the city itself is onland in a mountain rangeoverlooking the sea but some distance from it.
