I've watched The Sting. It's made of pure awesome, and the rating is over NINE THOUSAND.

i saw Cube (1997). Very meh, but some of it was quite fun (though overall pretty bad characters, particularly the end).

I never really liked that movie. Not funny enough for a comedy, not sad enough for a drama, and the plot is confusing as hell. I do like the soundtrack though.

Casino. Nice, but I'd watched Goodfellas recently and it seemed like the same film over and over again.

I just saw it and I thought the exact same thing. Although apart from the similarities, it's a really good movie, and Robert deNiro is outstanding.

Le reine Margot - French flick set during the Wars of Religion, based on a novel by Alexandre Dumas. It was alright.
Monsieur Lazhar - Quebecois film. Fantastic.
La princesse de Montpensier - Another French film that takes place during the Wars of Religion. Freaking fantastic.
True Grit (2010) - Fantastic.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

Very good film, albeit a bit too slow-paced.

Yeah I saw that a few months back due to pressure on IMDB. It kept on appearing as a recommended film. I thought it was awful.

I saw 3 of the Bourne movies last week. Nonstop action with little purpose behind it all.

It's just supposed to be a mindscrew. Watch the second one if you dare.

You're talking about the one starring Paul Newman, right?
If so, I disagree.

Through a chain of coincidences, this weekend I've watched GoodFellas, and the first two Home Alone films. Joe Pesci in all his glory (as well as the aforementioned Casino!)

Is there wimminz at least?

The Dark Knight. Must watch again, then move on to the last part of the trilogy.

I watched that yesterday, for the 1st time, and based on the IMDB rank I was expecting much more which leaves me in a small minority of people who didn't much care for it.
After that I watched Once Upon a Time in the West for x'th time - it's still almost as good as it was 30 years ago. Or more likely there're more movies on par with it as there were back then. A black screen with Morricone's music would probably be better than half of the new movies.

Well it's not the greatest film ever, but I don't usually like Batman and I did like this film.

Sergio Leone's films are another thing entirely.

I watched the 2012 remake crap few days ago & will probably watch the original within few days just to have feeling about the short story.
It's not that the movie itself was that bad, it's actually quite decent on it's own but I have a fundamental dislike towards wannabe action movies which are made for PG-13 rating. This really started to annoy me with Die Hard 4.0 when McClane suddenly started talking like a Sunday school kid. Again, it's not a bad movie but it doesn't deserve the title 'Die Hard' anywhere near it.
The Last movie I actually saw was Hitman ('07). Something to spend a couple of hours with but nothing more though I didn't expect much more either. At least it wasn't a PG-13.

Die Hard 2. Funny how he's able to blow up a plane full of people just to prevent them from escaping. A bit of Judge Dredd over it. Has anyone seen the new Judge Dredd btw?

Casino Royale (2006). I guess it was pretty good, though I admit I was pretty confused throughout much of the film and had a hard time following what the hell was going on. Card games aren't my thing at all, which probably contributed to this. The other issue I had with this movie is that, other than Bond and the girl's life, the primary thing at risk seemed to be government cash. Who really gives a damn? Governments piss away massive amounts of money all the time on stupid crap, am I supposed to be rattled by that? On the other hand, this is the first Bond movie of Craig's that I've seen and I must say he's a very good action star. Doesn't look like Bond, but plays the role very well. Also, I like weird villains, and the guy with the puffer and bleeding eyes was definitely that. Overall, I give the movie 7/10 and will be re-watching it again tomorrow.

Top 10 that I've seen for 2012

10. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
9. Samsara
8. Headhunters
7. Avengers Assemble
6. The Raid
5. Argo
4. The Sapphires
3. Ruby Sparks
2. The Angels' Share
1. The Dark Knight Rises

Films that miss out include Looper, Skyfall, Beasts of the Southern Wild.

The Hobbit. Good first ten minutes. Good last hour. The intervening hour plus could be shortened down to under 30 minutes. The pacing in the Lord of the Rings was really good. Unfortunately there's not much sign of that here. Fortunately the last hour is well worth seeing and it makes my top 10 based on that.

I would have seen it if my local had been showing any early morning 2D screenings. I'm regretting not biting the bullet and seeing it in 3D since it's supposedly quite excellent (despite disastrous business at the box office).

There's a lot of stuff in that film that I like a lot, but ultimately I found that film to be disappointing* and no where near as good as Batman Begins*. Fortunately, The Dark Knight Rises is far more satisfying*.

*subjective.
