Looking forward to this "Completely new combat" The combat in civ4 is terrible so I've been playing civ3 for 9 damn years.
 
I wonder what will replace the fatcross? Prior to Civ5, the city could work the 21 square fatcross. In Civ5 will the city work 2 hexs out from the city (total of 19 hexs)?

The cows is brown. I guess civ 5 wont have the standard back and white dairy cows, there welcoming in hefers. More tasty...
 
I hope (but doubt) they're writing the game in a better programming language or whatever to better support cross-platform porting.... /fingers crossed for faster Mac availability! But if not, I'll probably buy PC version and play it in Bootcamp until it's ported.

I'm due to buy a new computer this Fall - I'll hold off to buy the highest iMac upgrade I can get for game release. Next World of Warcraft expansion is due coming as well.

I can't wait to see what the new combat system will be - no more stacks??
 
We obviously don't have all the information from the screenshots but it looks like the roads are a lot less pronounced... Maybe in Civ 5 you won't need to building roads in your city squares, just connecting from city to city? Would be nice to be able to focus on real improvements, especially since they made roads less important in Civ IV by taking away the commerce bonus per road...
