Persistence is the greatest quality one can have. It breeds more success than any other single quality one can have.
(I wish I had more of it, as it is also one of the hardest qualities to maintain):goodjob:
Ahh Yes......I see your point Bamspeedy. I didn't think about it that way...because that's not what I wanted it for. However, if I had it, maybe I would start exploiting it in ways it wasn't intended.
As far as an hour of moves, it probably just seems that long. But sometimes when I have...
This game desperately needs an "Undo" feature....similar to the way the software programs Excel or Word has. If there is already someway of doing this I am unaware of it.
Especially when the game starts getting big, and turns take longer and longer, if you make a simple mistake, you either...
I'm with you on this. I do the same exact thing. I struggle with whether I should give this game up altogether because it puts everything else in my life as second priority. I keep coming to this site during work because I keep thinking about the game.
Wow, I guess that is good.....because I just counted them and I did write "long" forty times. It was by mere coincidence though, not intentional. Unless subconciously I somehow knew it was forty.
However, I'm one that still doesn't buy the alleged fact that it is forty turns that they stay...
Just double cheking..please clarify:
1) Airports can only SEND one unit per turn to another airport.
2)An Airport can RECEIVE as many units per turn as can be sent to them by other airports.
Thanks...:)
Please clarify:
I had thought that disbanding units simply meant you loose them if you don't think they are worth much any more (thus saving the 1GP per turn in maintenance). But I've been reading some other posts and I'm starting to gather that you get something (Gold?) from disbanding units...
Ok, so it sounds like the consensus is that the real advantage of subs (which must have inadvertantly got left out of the manual) is this then:
I can't believe I've been missing out on this awesome feature of the game!:D  :D
I'll have to give Subs a try right away!!!!!
What are the advantages of submarines? Do any of you use them effectively? I never build them because it just appears that Battleships would be so much better. But I was just wondering if I didn't really understand how Sub's work or something. The manual says they only appear to attack and...
One question I have is this:
If you declare war while not in their territory, then invade their territory in the same turn...do you get a reputaion hit?
Or do you have to wait a turn after you declare war before you enter onto their land? When you wait a turn after you declare war they usually...
Although you would still have to wait for the person who took the longest, I would think everyone would be taking their turn simultaneously...not one after the other. Everybody's actions are carried out simultaneously when everybody's done choosing their moves for the turn. Maybe Firaxis could...
I don't think going to the 'Active' section and renegotiating (cancelling) peace is any different than just Declaring War by choosing 'I've had enough of your insolence, prepare for war option'. I think the computer treats them the same...they both give you another pop-up window to confirm your...
