Nah, it takes 30 days to get those books my way. This was more of a matter of understanding the opposition that anything. Really, I find it fascinating that there can be such a diametrical opposition to how we view certain episodes in history. I simply, as yet, don't understand why. Besides, with the pace of my reading and the relative popularity of Marxist tomes I figured they would represent good bang for my buck -- large size, relatively low price.
So I've added:
POLITICAL ECONOMY - A LEONTIEV;
An Introduction to Marxist Economic Theory - Ernest Mandel;
History and Class Consciousness: Studies in Marxist Dialectics - Georg Lukács;
The Dictatorship of the Proletariat - Karl Kautsky; and
A History of Modern Russia: From Nicholas II to Vladimir Putin, Revised Edition - Robert Service.
I was just going to impersonate you by cracking open Mao's Little Red Book and quoting verbatim from it from wholly inappropriate sections.
