Back in my home country and my Son's surgery and recovery complete. I have a LOT to catch up on but I should be in a position to try and contribute again soon.

More bad news from me regarding activity - I now have another trip within my trip this week, so I am flying Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Tuesday and then get home Thursday, my son has an operation Friday - so I'm out for at least the next two weeks guys.

Switching hotels tonight to one with internet that actually works... "Have you tried moving your computer closer to the door?..." Might be able to catch up and plan to get a set in this weekend.

I'll have a good look over things this evening but it's a pretty short window now for me to play turns this week - less than five days from now I'll be offline for 3 or so full days. At this stage if we can plan a short turnset I'm hopeful I can get some played before I go. I'm not sure...

Settling is unlikely to be the optimum choice IMO, but it's passive and ongoing for the entire game, so it can add up. I'm not convinced by the math Dhoom just posted that a GA right now is of significant enough value to warrant it. I'm on the fence currently, without a huge desire for either.

sorry guys real life has been kicking my behind lately, and I have some travel during the next 2 weeks, so I will be in and out of contact. Will still try to stay up to date and provide feedback but game time is likely to be very limited.

Yeah I've tried a couple of games where you get to four cities quite fast with only like 2 workers, and without improvements the cities just cost money, so I'm not that keen on rushing to four cities if we can't improve them relatively quickly. Will let you know how I go with some testing...

I might be able to have a bit of a play tonight with the test game to see what I can determine with ivory city timing if that was to be our next target.

Thanks for stepping up Dhoom, RL still quite hectic for this week, but I should have time to comment during the week and be more productive on the weekend. If we're semi isolated, given that it's Mansa, should we consider walling him off and then back filling?

I was wrong about having "pockets" of time available this weekend - I'm having a great time catching up with family, but I'm still around 60 hours from having the time to review the options including the latest test games properly. I was Math before these so that will remain my vote.
