Good advice, Brad. The last thing the mac gaming community needs is to take actions that convince the game industry that porting games to the Mac OS is more trouble than it is worth.
I find all this very discouraging. I love the Civilization series, but the continual patches on the PC side and the process of getting them ported to the Mac have led me to put this game on the shelf. I think Brad Oliver does great work, but the circumstances under which he is working on this...
I experienced the same bug and reported it to Macsoft. At one point, I had nearly twice as many armies as I should have been able to support for free. I've never been charged for excess armies.
I'm not running OS X, but I believe that, if the GL is active and located in the city producing the wonder, one of the round buttons at the bottom of the screen gives the command to hurry the wonder.
