Getting killed and I dunno why

Looking for someone to shed a little light. Post patch I have been getting my ass handed to me on Regent level. Previously I did very well on Monarch and even played a bit of Emperor. What changes to playing style are needed PP (post patch) to be successful. I haven't enough time to play as it...

Do you have the 'Limitd Edition' Civ 3 version?

I bought the LE here in Taiwan, complete with a frickin Chinese manual. Boo Hiss. Truthfully, I didn't even notice it was the LE -it was the only copy they had. I saw Civ III, recalled nearly failing out of college playing the original, and started fumbling for my wallet. Costs 38 US dollars...

    If You Have a Moment

I would rank Korea, Israel,Taiwan and other 'hotspots' disproportionately high due to their ability to shape opinion and action throughout the world. Taiwan, is able to draw a full US carrier group to its defense when China gets feisty with missle tests. America is certainly not doing this...

Ending an Alliance...Anyone ever try this?

In the active window, if you can click it and erview the deal, it means it has already passed 20 turns and is now eligible for renegotiation. Other wise it will have a small number in parentheses indicating how many turns are left. Deals do not automatically expire after 20 turns...

    If You Have a Moment

Off the top of my head..... 1. USA 2. China 3. Great Britain (edge over others in Europe for greater Intl clout) 4. Germany 5. Japan (Massive econ - low mil/intl clout) 6. France 7.India (Nukes+pop+Intl. Hot spot factor) 8. Israel (High Mil./Intl Clout rating both pos and neg.)...

    Put coloniztion concept in civilization

I also enjoyed colonization, though I must admit the details a re a bit hazy. I would guess it didn't sell terribly well so was not picked up for a sequel. If you already have a sure thing (Civ series) might as well put your energies there. Tis a shame, cause I would enjoy a sequel.

What Ai is better than Civ III?

To address Troyens- You only need to pick up a newspaper to see examples of a country that is clearly militarily superior fighting a country that is massively militarily inferior to the last man. Though it seems illogical, it does happen in real life with astounding frequency. Further, that same...

What Ai is better than Civ III?

This post was designed to turn some of the just plain criticism I hear on the boards into constructive criticism. There are tons of people complaining about the AI. Show me where to look for better AI.... ...if not give it a rest. please.

What Ai is better than Civ III?

After having read, in threads too numerous to count, how Civ III's AI cheats, steals or is juts generally dumb, I was wondering just what other game AIs people have played against that they would consider better and why? Forgive my grammar My $.02 - Civ III's Ai is a great leap...
