    Unloading a Galley

    If you are not in a port and the Galley has at least one movement point, just crash it into the land. The unit(s) will be able to come off. If out of movement points, you can select the galley, then select the unit(s) and move them manually (assuming they started the turn on the galley).

    Civ on a P166?

    Basic rule of thumb, the bigger the map and the more units that are present (which always is more on a bigger map anyway) the slower it is going to get. I'd stay away from huge maps on a P166 - otherwise it may start feeling like a PBM :)

    Irritating thing about Shift-P moves

    Turning off my automatic moves does stop the stupid 5 square jumping, although it does mean you sit looking at a frozen screen until your worker arrives at the mystery destination (i.e. because you are not showing the move you don't actually see where the worker ended up)

    Captured cities

    I have never seen a captured city without anything supplied by my own wonders (i.e. granary, barracks, hydro plant spring to mind). I don't always stand off and bombard into submission before occupying, so either everything is being destroyed or the previous owners has never been interested...

    Don't people read the manual, or at least flick through it? I highly recommend pages 197-198 for unit orders. It sped my game play up after quick look.

    Why not just fix the bugs to deal with pollution? i.e. The automagic clean pollution shift-P doesn't stop after sending two workers, it keeps sending them until the pollution is cleaned up? Also make the Automated workers move first so they go and clean up pollution (or make sure they do)...
