There is definitely something wrong with your game play. Think about this - the GPP is reset to zero for the city that has produced a GP. So for example, your first city has reached 100pts and pops a great prophet. Your second city is now at say 48 pts, and now threshold is set to 200, and your...
I think the special edition is like a collector's edition? If so I don't think there is any difference in terms of stability. It just gave you like a bonus soundtrack CD and other stuff.
That's like putting a having a Ferrari with a Civic engine. You are wasting all the CPU power. I gave mine T4400 away. Buy a $100 6600 and you are better off.
Engineer - hurry production
Prophet - shrine
Scientist - depends but usually build academy; join city if it is early game
Artist - depends, join city if it is early game or culture bomb late game
Merchant - if I have open border with a far away neigbor then I send him away. Otherwise join city.
Well, the idea is for the expansion pack - probably new wonders to get you those gps. I remember in Civ3 you can use a great military leader to build Academy. Not sure what or how we can use a great military leader.
You can accumulate great person pts for prophet, scientist, artist, etc. These are all peaceful units. How about great military person pts like a great general, leader, etc? I think that should be in the expansion pack.
I play the Americans all the time and their favorite civic is Universal Suffrage, while I prefer Representation. Does using the favorite civic give you a particular bonus?
I usually go for cultural win and I dedicate one of my cities (3rd ot 4th) to build wonders and culture. There was one game in which I built the granary early on and the population just exploded as I had two wheat/corn and a cow. So my question is, when do you determine to build a granary? Do I...
I think I was being narrow minded choosing the civic that gives state religion city a +25% building bonus. I didn't explore other options. Hey I am new to Civ4
And thanks for the explanation of which city becomes the holy city!
