Hi, is settling on resources good or bad? Does settling on bonus resources (sheep, wheat, cattle, etc) give more food/production to the city tile, as if there is a pasture/farm? How about luxury and strategic resource tiles? Will the city get the extra food/production, plus the resource?

Hi guys, in my current game I got beaten to the pyramids by my neighbour Egypt. If I capture and puppet his capital, which contains the wonder, does my whole empire get the pyramid's benefit?

I'm playing now with some of the terrain in East Asia edited, to be what I think is correct. Game runs fine, loading is fine, but REloading starts to get CTD around turn 40. I play at Marathon speed. I also get the leader/team mix up the first time aroudn. I reorganised the team numbers...

I have the same problem after updating Civ V, but I only have problem reloading, loading for the first time after starting up the game is fine.

Although I haven't got this game yet, I would like to say thanks to Dale this TSL map is what I always want to play in Civ. Thanks Dale again. One thing though - since the Chinese leader is Wu Zetian, shouldn't her starting location be in Xi'an (or Chang'an to be accurate), in mid-west China...

Hi all, I just got BtS and I'm editing (using notepad :blush: ) the Earth 18 Civs map (which came with Vanilla) to add more civs. I think I have added the BeginTeam and BeginPlayer tags properly, but the new civs I added don't show up in the "Choose you civ" screen. What should I do?:blush:

Is it CPU, RAM or Video card?

Hmm about hardware and Civ 4 I always wonder... What is the biggest bottleneck for Civ 4, CPU, RAM or Video card? I have a computer with decent CPU and RAM, but only on board vid, and one with a crappy CPU and little RAM but a half decent vid card (it was able to play standard Warlords...

You get the resource with forts but not the economical benefit of the improvements (oil well, pasture, etc).

I want to leave the pleasure of torturing my enemy to myself instead of the AI. :lol:

I too love Marathon. I started vic4 on epic and loved it, but I love marathon better. :goodjob:
