lack of unit gifting to both city states and allied civs. It was such a simple yet great feature, it enabled you to defend city states without declaring war also made for very fun shenanigans with friends online. There is nothing quite like financing both sides in a war.

I used to play Civ 5+ vox populi+revamped social policies, modified renaissance era and mercenaries.
Most fun I ever had playing civ.
I wish we had something similar for 6 but to be honest thought I knda got used to the new mechanics in between immeidate building, districts and what not...
the soothsayer is useful if you manage to win the competition, the third promotion makes him put cities under siege if he is adjacent. Very useful as it helps with taking cities in strong defensive positions or on the coast.
Is it confirmed that the 1 civ 2 leaders DLC has an alternative leader and not a civ with two leaders? Because it is not specified here https://civilization.com/news/entries/introducing-the-civilization-vi-new-frontier-pass-first-dlc-launches-may-21-2020/
I hope we get more units for the different eras, perhaps in the civics tree as well making it more relevant to balance culture with science.
Also, I'd love to see an enlightenment era in between renaissance and industrial though I'm not holding my breath.
And please, please, please give us...
It would be nice if forts worked like beyond earth's settlements, in the renaissance/industrial age they should be able to grab land outside of your territory and eventually grow into settlements if on other continents.
At the least make them outposts that you can use to grab resources far...
They should also bring back war between city states and make way for some actual proxy wars.
Removing the gifting unit option was a massive mistake, in 5 you used to be able to help a city state or ai civ without going to war, was also super fun in multiplayer with friends when you finance...
I would also add something like the social policies from 5, I think the concept could be paired with the governments. One thing is the state , another matte ris society as a whole. It would be nice to have more flavor.
My games usually start with me deciding to go for a science or culture victory. They always end in domination with some nuclear Armageddon on the side.
I think Italy could easily get the Greece treatment (same as the German one for that matter). Sparta and Athens were quite distinct powers with different cultures and politics, also historical enemies, Peloponnesian war and all that, still Greece with two leaders works just fine to represent...
Argentina: Civ 6 has quite a few colonial civs, Argentina surely deserves to pop in. To keep up the theme of big personalities someone like Rosas would be quite perfect.
Cuba: it would be interesting to have them in although it might be too close to our current time for Castro to be its leader...
