This is terrible. How could this have gotten past the play testing? Did they not trade? Did they not test hotseat? It's just ridiculous. Please fix this stupid problem.

Ok, this has been posted in the multiplayer thread, but I didn't see it anywhere in the technical support thread and I would really like someone to fix the problem. You can't trade with human players in hotseat. That's a major problem! I really don't want to be one of the thousands ragging on...

You mentioned XP and copy protection. I can get it to work on my desktop, but not the laptop. The laptop has SP2 installed whereas the desktop does not. Common theme? If you have this problem do you have WinXP SP2 installed?

Ok, I got the joke version that mislabels the play CD. No big deal, I just put in the other CD. Problem is, no matter which CD I insert, it still says I have the wrong CD. It installed fine and the disk I'm putting in comes up with the play, readme, exit menu but when it goes to load the game...

Better yet, change it to "ask" and you can choose when you start the game.

This is from the Q&A with the Firaxians last night. It went on to say that 2200 was just as far as they tested it, that isn't a limit. Also, you can trade techs as soon as one party knows the Alphabet.

Let me say that so far, I'm loving everything about this game. The Civilopedia, however, is dissapointing. I'm spoiled by google. Give me a search engine. Let me type in, say 'trade technology' and it come up with a list of civilopedia entries that might help. I spent 15 minutes fighting...

I have a Radeon 9200SE with Omega drivers 2.6.05a. I run Win XP on an AMD 1700+ with 512MB Ram. No real problems. One quirk, the opening video hickups. It stops for a split second every 2 seconds. I dunno what that's about but other than that I've had no problems.
