Did you contact the support from Civ3.com on the Infogamers site? Take it off compatibility mode, and try it like that. If that doesn't work go through the history and find the post about Display Drivers or Monitor Drivers for older monitors. Install that even if you don't have an old monitor...

Its like that and its meant to be like that. You are not able to offer that much more gold than you can make in a turn. You would go bankrupt real quick and not be able to pay them anything so they would be insulted. Thats why it happens. Peter

I'm sorry but I just don't get it. The first game I ever played in Civ 3 was on Warlord and, though my power was lower than almots any other civs, I had more culture than 5 of the 7 other competitors put together. Was taking over cities like mad. Granted I was Greeks which are great culture...

In civ2 you could do that and it would tell you th ecity would be disbanded. I beleive now it only just aasks you if you want to continue production of the settler or if you want to change to another thing when the city isn't big enough. Then it just waits till it is of size 3 before it builds...

Ehm, tho I canna say for sure, in AC you could only destroy your cities as a great atrocity since it is really killing the people. I don't believe its even an option in this game unless you do it through some external save game editor. It is somewhat unfair in a way, since with no checks...

Isn't it a typo that it says that explorers can move 3 spaces over any terain but they old have a movement rate of 2? I'm not sure which is wrong, but one is wrong...suprised I didn't see it fixed in the patch...or am I wrong? Peter

I had the same problem here. Its a memory leak issue. I haven't installed the patch yet, just got back from a trip a little while ago, so try that it might help. I contacted Infogamers support and they said that the problem doesn't exist (but it does). To continue playing, press CTRL+ALT+DEL...

I noticed though that you can transfer workers at some points of the game. Now sure when or why, possibly ones that are in their territory or at the border? Peter
