Checking in from the dev team: June update is almost here!

If a community member raises the same concern repeatedly, it's not good. But if different members are doing it once or twice each, it should be tolerated.

why in later eras game sometimes randomly closes?

Is there an alternative to EUI? I like EUI when it works, but I also believe that EUI causes crashes (from about turn 200 onwards, with standard map size, and yield icons off). Update: I managed to fix the crashing problem. I don't know how I did it because I did various things.

Goodbye Civ, and thanks for the memories

Try reinstalling it as the non-EUI version.

Player stats, sales, and reception speculation thread

I once played a game called Need For Speed: Heat. I played it for about 4 hours, and I did not like it, so I stopped playing it. I don't know much about the game because I did not learn much about it because I did not like it. This example is meant to illustrate this more general point...

Player stats, sales, and reception speculation thread

The weird thing to me about Steam reviews is that the choices are "recommended" or "not recommended". I would only ever recommend a game to someone if it was outstanding, but everyone else seems to think that saying "not recommended" is like saying that the game is bad.

Player stats, sales, and reception speculation thread

I imagine they will release numerous DLC, and sell DLC subscriptions.

The hate for Civ7 will end the series, if not soon then eventually

When I bought Civ 5, and for at least one year thereafter, it was the only thing in my Steam library. In contrast, I don't even fully know what is in my Steam library nowadays. I think that whatever happened in 2010 with Civ 5 is mostly irrelevant to Civ 7 now.

    Have you bought Civilization VII?

There are so many things I could spend my time and money on, and lots of other great games I could play. So Civ 7 must clear a high bar for me to choose to spend my time and money on it. Maybe it will clear that bar one day, but it is not yet on my radar. I am enjoying these forums though...

We will pay for the missing/removed Age in the future?

When a game price is discounted by 90%, I feel like it is normally priced. If the discount is only 80%, I feel like I am paying double.

They didn't stand the "Test of Time". Features from previous games that won't be in Civ7

One of the dumbest things was those leader agendas. For example, the Norwegian leader would appear and scold me for not building enough boats.

    Prices are insane

I don't mind a high price as long as the pricing and product info is not misleading, so that I can make a buying decision fairly. (I am making a general comment, not specifically about Civ VII).

Confession re: playing VI vs. reading about VII

With playing IV and V, and reading these forums: the more I learned, the more I enjoyed them. With playing VI: the more I learned, the less I enjoyed it.

Civilization VII - Antiquity Age Developer Livestream (9/12) Discussion

I have poor eye sight. It looks like I am going to need to wear reading glasses to play Civ VII.

    Historical paths problem

I am imagining that the civ switching and/or historical paths will not be ideal. However, if it makes the game easier for them to develop, balance, code AI etc., then it should result in a better game overall. My main concern is that they might split up civs etc. into various DLCs, such that...

    Civ7 now includes Denuvo

I have this hypothetical scenario in mind: 1. I decide I will not buy the game if it has Denuvo. 2. Firaxis/2k announce that they have changed their minds and that Denuvo is no longer present. 3. I buy the game and play it for 10 hours. 4. Firaxis/2k announce that they have changed their minds...
