    Are you sticking with civ4?

Well Oblivion was the game that (temporarily) stopped my Civ-ing (if 4 years counts as temporary). I contemplated getting Fallout before getting BTS this summer. It actually does really concern me how games are heading, seemingly away from these indepth, complicated masterpieces like BTS and...

    Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions

This is why the BUG (or BAT) mod is soooo good. Hovering over buildings will provide all this info, like harbors giving +1:health: for fish, clam and crab, and additionally telling you what you actually get ("Actual +2:health:" cos you've only got fish and clams, for example). This is good for...

    Sexism inherent in Civ

:agree: Looking through his/her previous threads, there are several about controversial topics. As for boycotts, how do you effectively boycott a game you've already bought? :crazyeye: Most people active in this sub forum are already boycotting civ V (and not cos it's sexist, cos it's...

    Great Prophets Aplenty:

Prophets eh! I've found that if I build stonehenge I get loads of GPr all game, but if I don't it's really hard to get any. My GP farm has been running 6 priest, the chance of getting a prophet was 67%, next was a merchant, yet TWICE! I got an artist. Very annoying, especially as I have 2 holy...

    Fondest First Civ Memories?

That correct! I had Civ II test of time, which utilised multiple maps, so I always played the game where an Alien civ started on Alpha centuri, and when your SS landed you competed with them up there (complete with new future techs). One game an early message said the alien civ had been...

Assembling war units in friendly territory

Theres quite a few walkthroughs availiable to peruse to see how more experienced players get going, both on these forums and on the web in general (I really like Sulla's Civ website) for some playing tips. If you're getting beat on settler (where you don't really need a solid plan) then...

    Patch Problems

Confusing isn't it. I've been through this with Civ 4 Complete. Here's the rub. Civ4 Complete is Civ, Warlord and BTS and the 3.13 patch. But it shows up in you registry as Civ4 @ 1.75. :crazyeye: You therefore need to install the 3.17 patch and then the 3.19 patch. You'll then see in your...

    IV is still more fun

Seems to me game makers are only targetting console players nowadays, hence games are becoming simpler/less complicated (i.e. suffer from 'Consolitis'). Perhaps this is the fault of all the PC piraters making PC games (with their increased level of complication, re-playability etc) non-profitable?

    Questions about The BUG Mod

Sotty if this is answered in the readme (ignore/flame as appropriate if so) but does upgrading from 2.3 -> v3 of BAT render current saves unusable, i.e. is BAT 3.0 backwards compatable? PS Thanks for the update :D

    Are you sticking with civ4?

From Sulla's website, the Civ5 AI can't handle 1upt either. He beat wave after wave of French muskets and rifles with a cannon and some Chu-Ko-Nu :crazyeye:
