0.23 (last vanilla civ4 version) glitch

Yeah, it's an old version, but I don't have any of the expansions, so I can't upgrade. Anyways, there's a bug where 9 times out of 10 that I enter a game, there's no interface! None, whatsoever. I can see the whole map, move units, everything, but there is nothing else on the screen. I tried Ctrl+Everything to see if it was a hotkey I hit, scoured every options screen, but it keeps coming up with no interface. Is this just me? Pic

You are getting a CvMainInterface error but you dont have python debugging on so we cant see what the error is. Follow the steps in the first post of the bug threads and it will walk through how to enable python debugging.

Hate to give advice like this, but I'd strongly recommend purchasing Beyond the Sword. Major improvements to FFH have been made, and I don't think you'll see much support. BTS is a very fine expansion on its own merits as well.

Its looking on your X drive for the trophies file (which undoutably doesnt exist). Id recommend installing FfH on your C drive, its probably installed on your D drive right now. We have problems handling unusual file paths with these early versions.

I think it might have something to do with me using the Gametap version of Civ4. Is there any way to change where it looks for the trophy file?

Your probably right. Unfortunatly its been over a year since Ive looked at that code, and we don't even use that file anymore. So I dont remember where it was configured at. Sorry.
