I build a space ship and when I want to launch it it says: 0% chance of success. I launch it though and it gets to Alpha Centauri.
I've NEVER seen a spaceship that didn't succeed in getting to Alpha.

I don't remember if if it's the same as Civ 2, but if it is;

Your spaceship will always reach AC, but the percent of success is really the % of your people that will survive the trip, not the chance of the ship making it to AC. Your score is based on the amount of people that survive the trip. So, if you launch at 0% (which, IIRC, you can't do anymore in Civ 2) then you will gain 0 points for making it there.
