Here a quick recap of the bonus:
The Patronage works differently if you recruit by paying with gold/faith, and by recruiting with great people point:
- Pedro II (Brazil, Magnanimous): After recruiting or patronizing a Great Person, 20% of its Great Person point is refunded.
- Alfred Nobel (Great Scientist, Modern Era): Applied 100 free Great People point towards recruiting all current and future Great People.
- World's Fair (Competition, Gold tier): 100 Great Person points (it works the same as Alfred Nobel).
The Patronage works differently if you recruit by paying with gold/faith, and by recruiting with great people point:
- By paying: works as intended. 20% of the cost is refunded, then the +100/+200 Great Person cost is applied. For example, a Great Writer at 420 points. If I pay, I start at 184 for the next one (20% then +100).
- Naturally: works weirdly. It seems that if 20% of the cost + the leftovers are less than 100 (or 200), then the value is set to 100 (or 200). For example, a Great Writer at 420 points and I have 426. 20% of 420 + 6 = 90. But since 90 is less than 100, then I start at 100 for the next one, instead of 190. Which is quite problematic for Brazil.
- Edit: the bug seems to be working for everyone. If you are not Pedro II, you will have 6 great writer point leftovers, and should start at 106. Instead, you start at 100.
