1/2 the time - Please insert correct game CD

I am really getting pissed. I'm trying to get some modding done and about 50% of the attempts to launch my game say "Please insert correct CD".

Now I'm using iTunes while I'm modding and working on the game... can this cause issue with the copy protection? I did clean the CD (BtS) and there are no scratches on it. My DVD drive is a SATA.

... except mine is about a 2/3 failure rate. I'm not using iTunes; no scratches on the disk. Search for my other posts on the same topic.

Its a Safedisk problem and for once Microsoft has done a good job - compiling a list of possible fixes, sparing me the time to type them
