1.21 & Marla's World Question

I'm fairly new to Civ3 and the forums, so if this has already been covered you'll have to forgive me as I've searched but didn't see anything.

Up to know I've been using Marla's original map- the one without the pirogues- and the automated starting point programme.

However. Since I just downloaded the v1.21 patch, the automated starting programme hasn't been working. It starts and then just freezes half way through.

So has there been an update to fix this? Someone on another site briefly mentioned something about downloading a new programme to get it to work again without saying what it was.

Is anyone able to help?
