1.52 Patch still CTD

Okay, I'm throwing myself at the mercy of the forums for some help. I bought the game pre-order and have been patiently waiting for a build I could play. Finally thought the latest patch was it, but I still got the CTD.

What I have recently done is re-format and re-install XP, freshly brought up to SP2 and re-installed all drivers and the latest DX9.0c from Microsoft. Re-installed Civ 4 and patched to 1.52. Set the graphics to medium, set a pagefile min/max to 2GB, and turned off all graphics options (vsync, AA, AF). I will still CTD after about 30 minutes of play on a standard map (even early in the game).

I love this game, and will continue to play it even if my problems don't get resolved. Obviously I will enjoy it much more if someone can make a suggestion that fixes or decreases my instances of crashing. Attached is my dxdiag.

I certainly appreciate any comments or suggestions.

For what it's worth, I'm running:

P4 2.4
GeForce 5900XT 128Mb
1.0Gb RAM

Well, I have the exact same build as you, except a 2.6Ghz and an ATI Radeon 9800. I did all what you did, reformat, reinstall EVERYTHING, and still get CTD after about 45 minutes of play, or if I get to around 800AD, whichever comes first.

I think at this point you're in the same position where I am, you've tried everything that's supposed to fix things, but it still doesn't work. Now you've just got to deal with it until they come out with a new patch, and hope it fixes things.

Unfortunately you are most likely right, I am just hoping someone has a magic bullet available.
