I have a stack of maybe 20 units with cavalry, cannons, etc. When I right-click on the stack, the stack all of a sudden starts "sliding" south. It just keeps moving south, even through the ocean. When I finally select something from the right-click menu, like "Fortify All", the stack comes back. Doesn't really affect gameplay. But obviously a bug, and really weird. Anybody else see this? I have a saved game where I can reproduce it every time. Would it do any good to send this to Firaxis? If so, what is their e-mail address? Sorry for all the questions. This is my first post (and also my first civ 4 game).

Yup, I've seen this, too. I had it happen with a stack of artillery (one piece at a time, each time I right-clicked). It seems that the sound of the rolling artillery piece played each time, too, until the unit finally stopped. As you said, this didn't affect gameplay.

Well, turns out it's not as reproducible as I thought. I loaded it today, and it worked fine. I had no problems reproducing it with the save file for like 3 days in a row. And I reboot my computer every day. So I'm not sure why it's working now. It was only a minor bug anyway. But it might be related to other more serious graphics bugs.

Okay. I can reproduce it. I just forgot how I reproduced it. Doh! Anyway, when you load the game, you will see Cologne. Just northeast of that is Alexandria. And northeast of that is Heliopolis. Next to Heliopolis is a stack of cavalry and cannon. The stack is just southwest of Heliopolis. Right-click on the stack. Then Select All. The stack should then start sliding towards the south. You can then select Fortify All or whatever, and it will work. But it's just weird how the stack takes off

This problem is not only linked to stacks. From time to time, when a unit of mine is under attack, it "slides" toward the enemy, almost passing him before the battle animation starts.

Weird, and time consuming
