1.52 vs 1.09 and other things

Hi All, this is my first post and while I have found many of my issues addressed elsewhere (thank you search!) I still have these questions...

I'm running on a P4 2Ghz GeForce 5500 and with patch 1.52 the game itself seems to have stabilized but the wonder movies are all trashed. Out of the Box and with 1.09 the movies were good and the Game was guaranteed to crash about every 5 turns. All in all I’m pleased with the product and it’s improvements but does anyone know if Firaxis had some other software running in tandem with its testing gear or perhaps a complete lack of TSR’s and other active background programs?

I finally reached the Satellite tech and it showed me nothing new, I guess I expected the FOW to be removed…is this a bug or is it correct?

After building a Hydro-Plant I can’t seem to remove the Coal Plant I already have (no sell function) …bug or feature?

These last two are nitpicking…I happen to work with municipal planning and this is the 4th incarnation of the game that fails to allow settlers to see where their expanded city (the 21 grid block) might overlap with neighboring cities, the ‘lines’ feature is useful but inadequate for full utilization of available land. (I’d love to see this in a mod Please!!:) ) Counting out the grid is more difficult in this version since the grid lines blend much more with the ground.

And finally every navy and air force in the world sets up ‘patrol zones’ to watch their territory or monitor others. Given how so much of the tedious work was already automated/removed it’d be great to see this addressed.

Here’s hoping that patch 1.53+ will finally make almost everyone happy.
